Exam Pattern
The exam is of 150 questions with 600 marks. It is a paper based examination. There is 1/3rd negative marking. The exam has three sections, having 60 minutes for each section.
Syllabus
Physics section- Topics from Measurement, Linear momentum & collisions, Oscillatory motion, Mechanics of solids and fluids, Wave optics, Heat and thermodynamics, Motion in one dimension, Wave, Current electricity, Electrostatics, Laws of motion.
Chemistry section- Topics from Atomic structure, Chemical Equilibrium and kinetics, Electrochemistry, Catalysis, Colloids, Colligative properties of solution, Preparation and properties, General organic chemistry, General organic chemistry, Redox reactions, Acid- base concepts etc.
Maths section- Topics from Algebra, Probability, Trigonometry, Co-ordinate geometry, Calculus, Vectors, Dynamics & Statics.
