  • UPESEAT Topic-wise Syllabus:

    UPES Engineering Aptitude Test (UPESEAT) is organized by the University of Petroleum and Energy Studies every year to offer admission in BTech Programs. UPES sets the syllabus and exam pattern for the UPESEAT.

    The UPES invited application form from both online and offline mediums. The last date to apply online is 30 June 2020. The admit card will be available immediately after the test booking. The test booking dates are from 1 July to 4 July 2020. The exam will be conducted from 8 July to 12 July 2020.

    There will be 125 MCQs asked to solve in 2 Hours from 4 Sections - Mathematics (35 MCQs), Physics (35 MCQs), Chemistry (35 MCQs) and English Comprehension (20 MCQs). There will be no negative marking and +1 Mark will be provided for each correct answer. It is a computer-based test and the level of the exam is University Level.

    The UPESEAT Syllabus is similar to the JEE Mains Exam:

    Sets, relations and functions; Sequences and series;  Limit, continuity and differentiability; Binomial theorem and its simple applications; Mathematical induction; Permutations and combinations; Matrices and determinants; Statistics and probability; Mathematical reasoning; Trigonometry; Complex numbers and quadratic equations; Integral calculus; Differential equations; Co-ordinate geometry; Three dimensional geometry; Vector algebra.

    Physics:

    Physics and Measurement; Kinematics; Laws of Motion; Rotational Motion; Gravitation; Work,Energy and Power;  Properties of Solids and Liquids; Optics;  Dual Nature of Matter Andradiation; Atoms and Nuclei; Electronic Devices; Communication Systems; Thermodynamics; Kinetic Theory of Gases; Oscillations and Waves; Electrostatics; Currrent Electricity; Magnetic Effects of Current and Magnetism; Electromagnetic Induction and Alternating Currents; Electromagnetic Waves.
