What is the required educational qualification, what is the minimum and maximum age limit, which country's citizenship is required to apply for the UPESEAT?

  • UPESEAT Required Eligibility:

    The candidates should have obtained minimum 50% aggregate marks in higher and senior secondary level (10th and 12th). The candidates are also required for minimum 50% Marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in the intermediate exam.

    University of Petroleum and Energy Studies organizes the UPES Engineering Aptitude Test every year to offer admission in various BTech Courses. UPES offers admission to the aspirants from 3 different gateways - UPESEAT, JEE Mains Merit Rank and Board Merit.

    The university fills 80% seats from the UPES Engineering Aptitude Test and the remaining 20% seats are filled through the JEE Mains Merit and Board Merit of the intermediate exam. The candidates are advised to read the UPESEAT Eligibility carefully before applying for the exam.

    The last date to apply online is 30 June 2020 and the exam will be held from 8 July to 12 July 2020. The exam date will be booked by the candidates from 1 July to 4 July 2020. UPESEAT will be an online exam, so the admit card is not required.

    Nationality:

    All the candidates who have Indian nationality can apply for the UPES Engineering Aptitude Test (UPESEAT). Non-Resident Indians can also apply for the exam.

    Educational Qualification:

    1. For the candidates applying through the UPESEAT (Exam Pathway)

    The candidate should have scored minimum 50% Marks in 10th and 12th. The candidate also has minimum 50% Marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in 12th. UPESEAT followed by centralized counselling.

    2. For the candidates applying through the JEE Main or Board Merit (Non-Exam Pathway)

    (A) JEE Main Merit:

    The candidate must have passed 10th and 12th exam with minimum 50% Marks. The candidate also has minimum 50% aggregate marks in physics, chemistry and mathematics in 12th. JEE Main Cutoff Rank is announced on the official website after the declaration of the JEE Main results.

    (B) Board Merit:

    The candidate must have scored minimum 80% Marks in 10th and 12th. The candidate also has minimum 80% aggregate marks in physics, chemistry, mathematics in 12th.

    Age Limit:

    The candidate must be born after 1 October 1998.

    6. JEE Main Cutoff Rank will be announced after the declaration of the JEE Main Result.
