What is IGNOU open MAT exam all about? What is its eligibility criteria, exam pattern etc.?

    IGNOU stands for Indira Gandhi National Open University which conducts IGNOU-OPEN MANAGEMENT APPTITUDE TEST- (IGNOU-OPENMAT)
    To take admiision in IGNOU for courses in management like MBA,PG , Diplomas in various manangemnet courses iffered by the university is through the results of the OPENMAT EXAM
    This exam is conducted twice a year and is in two parts . The first exam is known as OPENMAT XLIV and the second exam is known as OPENMAT XLV.
    The students after giving the examination will be eligible for admissions into the various postgraduate programs offered by the University.
     
    EXAM PATTERN
    # There are 200 questions which are to be solved in 180 minutes.
    # General Awareness: 30 Questions
    # English Language: 50 Questions
    # Quantitative Aptitude: 50 Question
    # Reasoning: 70 Questions
    # There is no negative marking

    : Your Basics should be clear and strong
    :  You should be well aware of current Affairs
    : To improve your awareness and GK do read lots of books, magazines, newspapers. Watch news regularly to keep yourself Updated
    : Time management is very important, improve your speed by solving lots and lots of sample papers
    : Do solve last year paper to get an idea of the paper
    : Don’t spend lot of time thinking of an answer, if you are unable to answer a question in first attempt move to the next question
    : After that try attempting question that you are doubtful about
    : Try and attempt all question, because there is no negative marking
    : Attempt those question for which you are sure of correct answer, rather trying to search for
     
     
    Eligibility Criteria for OPENMAT
    §  The eligibility criteria for admission to MBA Program would be as per the AICTE norms. Any graduate (Including Chartered Accountancy/Cost Accountancy/Company Secretaryship) with 50% marks for general category/45% for reserved category as per government of India rules.
    §  There is no age bar for admission to the above program
