  • Most of the students or say the graduates are getting diverted towards the sector job is beacause of their lack of knownledge on their core branch. They don't have their hands over their subject. As I'm studying EEE (2nd year), what i have observed is students are running behind SPIs, CGPAs or whatever, they are afraid of getting backs in course subject. Recently during one of my lectures, the lecturer asked us about the few topic from the subject EEE( elements of electrical engineering) , more then half of the class were blank about it. The reason for it is that they only prefer local publication university books which has the previous year questions and by doing that they are able to score. But in this practice their concepts are not getting cleared, and they don't have the deepknowldge of their main course. As a result they find it difficult to perform in core sectors and they are not able to give the results. And its not always the mistake of college or the university, the students are also to be blamed for it. mostly 5 to 10 percent students only cross questions rest others keeps wandering. According to me teaching communication skill, personality development or englisg or even economics is not bad, infact it is fruitful. Students coming rural background can cope up with english and communication skill. Learning these subject will develop our personality and knowledge. Working in core also needs to have good personality and communication skill. What I find as a student sitting among the students is most of them are passive. they need good get active to have clear concept. And so this is the reason why people are moving towrds sector jobs as they cope up with it quickly and easily.

  • Hello all. Can anybody tell me best institute for 6 month embedded system training in the region of noida or bangalore..

  • Your view is absolutely correct I am a victim of it.I am interested in my core branch Electronics and Communication but my college like any tire 3 college for their sake just taught Aptitude and English for their own benefit to make fool to take more students take admission and make people see how many students they placed in a year but my future ruined and now I have search for jobs that is also in IT which I don't like I am feeling devastating and depressed.

  • this is true but is a cause of the engineering colleges education.

  • I have worked 28 years in Embedded Industry. I am an EEE graduate. Last 7 years I have traveled extensively and visited more than 100 engineering colleges. I have also interacted with more than 10000 EEE/ECE students. I found one interesting thing. Most of the EEE/ECE students are interested to work in only CORE jobs. But unfortunately during the final year, the EEE students realize that they do not understand what is Electrical  & Electronics  and ECE students realize that they do not understand what is Electronics & Communication.

Even this is true for most of the CSE students also. They do not understand what is programming. Even though Electrical, Electronics and Programming are very easy to understand, the way it is being taught in colleges is very bad. Even the students with lots of interest take these branches, these colleges make them to lose the interest. I did lots of experiments during the last 7 years. A student while joining a college in EEE branch could easily solve  Ohm's law problems, but when he leaves could not.  These colleges make the students useless and send them out.

Instead of teaching Engineering they teach English and Aptitude. Very pathetic. Since they do not teach engineering. they try to push the Students into IT support jobs and claims that they placed so many student. Shame on our Engineering Education.
