What is the structure and pattern for TSPSC exam?

  • Exam pattern
    The exam will happen in two stages. First written and interview.
    The exam of TSPSC consists of Two Paper of 300 Objective Type Questions carrying 500 marks with the time limit of 5 hours:
    General Studies: It will comprise of 75 questions carrying 75 marks the types of question asked are related to Indian Heritage and culture, History,
    General Abilities: It will comprise of 75 questions carrying 75 marks the types of question asked are related to sentence corrections, and verbal reasoning.
    Civil Engineering: It will comprise of 150 questions carrying 300 marks.
    The Interview is the last stage which carries 50 Marks.
    Those who pass the written examination will appear in the interview.
    The Results declared will tell who will go for further TSPSC Interview.
    The cut-off marks will vary for each category.

    ·         The TSPSC Exam Paper consists of Multiple Choice Questions
    ·         The TSPSC exam will conduct on OMR Sheet (Pen & paper)
    ·         The total TSPSC examination is for 600 Marks
    ·         Duration of each paper is 2 hours 30 minutes
    ·         The level of TSPSC examination is Degree Level
     
    There are 4 papers in total.
    Paper I is consists of General Studies & General Abilities, time given is 150 minutes and total marks assigned is 150.
    Paper II is consists of History, Polity & Society-
    (a)    Socio-Cultural History of India and Telangana
    (b)   Overview of the Indian Constitution and Politics
    (c)    Social Structure, Public Policies
    With total time given is 150 minutes and total marks assigned is 150.
     
    Paper III is consists of Economy & Development-
    (a)    Indian Economy: Issues and Challenges
    (b)   Economy and Development of Telangana
    (c)    Issues of Development and change
    With total time given is 150 minutes and total marks assigned is 150.
     
    Paper IV is consists of Telangana Movement and State Formation-
    (a)    The Idea of Telangana (1948-1970)
    (b)   Mobilizational Phase (1971–1990)
    (c)    Towards Formation of Telangana state (1991-2014)
    With total time given is 150 minutes and total marks assigned is 150.
