  • Examination Pattern of BPSC Exam–
    1) Preliminary Examination and
    2) Main Examination
    The description of the varied examinations is given below – 
    1) preliminary exam – The preliminary exam of BPSC – PCS can comprise of the objective type questions. They will have to choose the best possible answer for them and mark on it. There’ll be total 150 questions; every of 1 mark .Time duration is 120 minutes.
    2) Main Examination – The main examination comprises of –
    (i) Written Examination 
    (ii) Personal Interview
    There are 4 papers in BPSC Main Examination – 
    (i) Hindi 
    (ii) General Studies
    (iii) First Optional Paper 
    iv) Second Optional Paper 
    Total marks allotted to Written Examination are 1200. 
    Hindi – The applicants will have to obtain at least 30 marks in Hindi.
    General Studies–GS is split in 2 categories –
    GS Paper I
    GS Paper II
    200 is the maximum marks for each GS paper. The timing assigned to them is 3 hours individually
    First Optional Paper –
    Paper 4 – paper I of 1st optional subjects (200 Marks) 
    Paper 5 – paper II of 1st optional subject (200 hundred Marks) 
    Second Optional Paper – 
    Paper 6– paper I of Second optional Subject (200 Marks) 
    Paper 7 – paper II of Second optional Subject (200Marks)
