  • SCRA (Special Class Railway Apprentices) : Important Dates 

    SCRA is the National Level Exam conducted for arranging Special Class Railway Apprentices by Union Public Service Commission(UPSC) for the training of candidates. It incorporates 4 years of engineering degree in the mechanical branch in collaboration with BIT, MESRA. The successful completion of four years in training/study will let candidates offer jobs in Indian Railways as officers. 

    The SCRA exam notification was expected to be released in the month of February, and the exam dates will be in the month of June. Due to COVID-19 Pandemic, the dates are still not announced for this year's selection.

    The applicants belonging to the general and OBC Category are required to pay an amount of Rs. 100 as the application fees for the SCRA Exam form, rest all categories are exempted from paying any fee for the examination.

    The applicants can apply for UPSC SCRA Exam through the online mode once the registration portal is opened. The applicants who are waiting to apply for the UPSC SCRA Exam should regularly check the official website.

    SCRA Important Dates: (Tentative)

    1. Application Form will be available from January 2020
    2. Last date to fill the application form: February 2020
    3. The exam was expected to e commenced in the month of May.
