Which language should I choose for SSC Stenographer ??

I am starting my journey for SSC Stenographer. I am about to join a coaching for learning Shorthand. I have strong typing speed in ENGLISH language but I'm not sure which language to choose for proceeding with shorthand. The coaching instructor told me that for govt. jobs, HINDI shorthand has a better scope as higher job opportunities are available(in terms of departments and ministries) I really want a broad opinion about the same for which language to choose for shorthand. PLEASE HELP!
