Madhya Pradesh commonly known as Heart of India due to its
geographical location and it is also the second largest state by areas
along with fifth-largest populated state in India.This system was
introduced by Sheh Shah Suri and was carried forward by
Akbar. Patwari is the designation given to the village accountants.They
are commonly called by the names of Zaildar, Munshi, Kulkarni and
Adhikari. The job responsibilities of Patwari are- To keep the accounts
of Agricultural lands of the villages he has been assigned, and also
collect taxes from the 8 to 10 agricultural land he has been allotted
and Visits allotted villages every month to inspect the harvests and
crops. Age limit of MP Patwari is between 18 to 40 years, the age
relaxation is based by government.
