  • SRMJEEE Topic Wise Syllabus:

    SRMJEEE is organized by SRMIST every year to offer admission in various BTech Programs situated in Kattankulathur, Ramapuram, Ramapuram Part - II Vadapalani, Delhi NCR.

    The last date to apply for SRMJEEE is 15 July 2020 and the entrance exam will be held from 30 July to 4 August 2020. The exam fee is INR 1100. The candidates who choose PCMEA for the exam will be eligible for all BTech Programs. The candidates who choose PCBEA for the exam will be eligible for BTech (Biotechnology and all its specializations) and BTech (Biomedical Engineering).

    The exam contains 5 Sections - Physics (35 questions), Chemistry (35 questions), Mathematics/ Biology (40 questions), English (5 questions), Aptitude (10 questions). There will be no negative marking and each correct answer will provide 1 Mark.

    Physics:

     Units and Measurement, Mechanics: Laws of Motion, Work, Energy and Power; Gravitation, Mechanics of Solids and Fluids: Gravitation, Mechanics of solids and fluids;  Electrostatics; Current Electricity; Magnetism and Magnetic effects of current; Electromagnetic Induction, Alternating Currents and Electromagnetic Waves; Optics; Dual Nature of Radiation and Matter & Atomic Physics; Nuclear Physics; Electronic Devices.

    Chemistry:

     Solutions; Electrochemistry; Chemical Kinetics; Surface Chemistry; General Principles and Processes of Isolation of Elements; p -Block Elements; ‘d’ and ‘f’ Block Elements; Coordination Compounds; Haloalkanes and Haloarenes; Alcohols, Phenols and Ethers; Aldehydes, Ketones and Carboxylic Acids; Organic compounds containing Nitrogen; Biomolecules; Polymers; Chemistry in Everyday life.

    Mathematics:

     Sets, Relations and Functions; Complex Numbers and Quadratic Equations; Matrices, Determinants and their applications; Combinatorics: Permutations and Combinations, Mathematical Induction and its Applications; Algebra: Binomial theorem and its Applications; Differential Calculus and its applications: Applications of Differential Calculus; Integral Calculus and its applications; Analytical Geometry: Straight Lines in Two Dimensions, Two Dimensions; Vector Algebra; Statistics and Probability distribution; Trigonometry.

    Biology:

     Diversity in Living World: Five kingdom classification, Classification of plants, Classification of animals; Structural Organization in Animals and Plants: Plant tissues, Animal tissues; Cell Structure and Function: Cell, Chemical constituents of living cells, Cell division;  Plant Physiology: Transport in plants, Mineral nutrition, Photosynthesis, Respiration, Plant growth and development; Human Physiology: Digestion and absorption, Breathing and Respiration, Body fluids and circulation, Excretory products and their elimination, Locomotion and Movement, Neural control and coordination, Chemical coordination and regulation; Reproduction: Reproduction in Organisms, Sexual Reproduction in Flowering Plants, Human Reproduction, Reproductive Health; Genetics and Evolution: Principles of Inheritance and Variation, Molecular Basis of Inheritance, Evolution;  Biology and Human Welfare: Human Health and Diseases, Strategies for Enhancement in Food Production, Microbes in Human Welfare;  Biotechnology and Its Applications: Biotechnology - Principles and processes, Biotechnology and its Application; Ecology and Environment: Organisms and Populations, Ecosystem, Biodiversity and its Conservation, Environmental Issues.

    English:

     Comprehension type questions in the form of short passages or lines of poems or a dialogue, The multiple-choice questions will be asked from them. 

    Aptitude:

     Number System, Statistics, Percentage, Profit and Loss, Quadratic Equation, Geometry, Arrangement, Direction Sense test, Linear Equation, Trigonometry.
