  • HPUMAT or Himachal Pradesh management aptitude test is an exam conducted by the Himachal Pradesh university to enrol students in their management programmes. This exam is a state level entrance test conducted by HPU Business School for admitting students in its MBA program. The institute offers 120 seats in its MBA course. 
    the eligibility for HPUMAT.
     Candidates must have graduated with minimum 50% marks from a recognized university. This percentage is reduced to 45% for reserved category students.
     Candidates in their final year of Graduation can also apply, provided they will be able to present the passing certificate at the time of admission
    . Maximum age limit for the course is 26 for boys and 28 for girls.
     SC/ST candidates, both boys and girls can apply up to the age of 29.
     Talking about the nationality of the candidate
    , There is no specific limitations to a student’s nationality or residential status.
    Exam pattern
    HPU MAT 2019 is generally conducted in May.
     the mode of exam is ofline that is pen and paper mode. 
    It is a multiple-choice based exam.
     The question paper will consist of 200 questions from four subjects. Each question had four options to choose the right answer from.
    The candidates can select only one option as the right answer.
     Selection more than one option to the given question may lead to marks deduction.
     The question paper was divided into five sections which are English comprehension, reasoning, business environment, arithmetic comprehension and data interpretation.
     Each section will have 50 questions each.
    Each question carried one mark and there will be no negative marking.
     
    Tips and tricks
    One of the most important things while attempting an HPU MAT examination is to know the requirements of the exam. i.e. go through the HPU MAT Syllabus thoroughly and mark the things you need to spend more time on. The candidates have to be familiar with the syllabus to best attempt the exam.
    Once you have gotten a sense of the syllabus prescribed for the exam you must make a list of the topics you need to assign more time to as you need to learn them from scratch. Always remember to start your preparation by studying the topics you are most unfamiliar with so that you have enough time to revise in the end.
    After making the list you must stick to your schedule and make sure that you do not skip any day without studying. Even if you are not able to do all the topics assigned to that particular day, at least do a little bit so that you don’t feel the burden in the end.
    Make sample papers your best friend! Once you are done preparing a good amount of topics from the prescribed syllabus, start solving the off-line sample papers to get a sense of the type of questions that will be asked in the exam.
    The sample papers will also help you in accessing yourself on the basis of your preparation. Trying solving as many as you can so that by the end of it you have enough confidence to face the actual exam.
    Do not skip topics. Try covering all the topics in the syllabus so that you do not space out while answering any question. It is essential to attempt the entire paper to score the maximum marks. By attempting all the questions you increase your chances of scoring high.
    It is always good to prepare section wise. This will help in answering the questions better during the examination as you will be able to identify the different sections.
    Another very important aspect is time management. You must practice finishing your exam within the allotted time to be successful at the examination
