Eligibility for AWES

Nationality / Citizenship: The candidate must be an Indian Citizen.

Age of the candidate:

Minimum Age: Below 29 years

Maximum Age: Below 35 years

Educational Qualification:

For PGT- Post Graduation degree in any discipline with 50% marks and B.Ed with 50% marks from a recognized University or its equivalent.

For TGT- Graduation degree in any discipline with 50% marks and B.Ed with 50% marks from a recognized University or its equivalent.

For PRT- Graduation degree in any discipline with 50% marks and B.Ed with 50% marks from a recognized University or its equivalent.

AWES: Exam pattern for PGT/TGT

  • The screening test (CBT) will be of 180 marks.
  • The exam will have 90 MCQs type questions and 90 marks descriptive questions.
  • The total duration of the exam will be 180 minutes
  • The medium of language of the questions will be Hindi and English
  • Sections in the exam: Five
    • General Awareness
    • Mental Ability
    • English Comprehension
    • Educational Concepts or Methodology
    • Specific to Subject

Preparation tips for AWES

You need to finish three sections of AWES Exam within 180 minutes, which means you need speed with accuracy in order to attempt 180 questions in total. The more you practice, the better chances you have of acing this exam.
Make mathematics and reasoning your strong subjects, practice questions to solve them within time to increase efficiency. You should lay emphasis not on mugging up the formulas but instead try understanding the concepts, so, you can modify the formulas according to the question requirement.
Remember negative marking is not a factor here. Therefore, try to attempt all the questions.
Manage your time properly; giveappropriate amount of time to each section. Try to improve your time by practicing as many online tests as possible.
