  • Aspirants will have a fair idea of their vocabulary when they hear themselves speak and write carefully. Our vocabulary is limited and this has to change. Vocabulary section is of immense importance in SSC Exam as observed in the last few years. The maximum number of questions both in SSC Tier 1 and Tier 2 papers are from this section.
    This section is of great importance in SSC English exam. The maximum number of questions in both SSC Tier 1 and Tier 2 papers is from this section. Thus your preparation should revolve around strengthening your vocabulary skills.
    Some of the methods you can use to improve your vocabulary are:
    Reading practise
    Using a dictionary
    Thesaurus (For those who don’t like dictionaries)
    Self-help books
    Flip cards
    Gauging meanings
    Additionally, whenever you come across a new word, look it up in a dictionary, thesaurus or online. Note down its meaning, synonyms and antonyms and its usage. You can use these words later while attempting SSC CGL previous year papers, speaking or writing something as long as you remember them!
