IBPS PO(Institute of Banking personal selection)  every year conducts IBPS PO (Probationary Officer), IBPS clerk, IBPS RRB, IBPS PO RRB clerk, IBPS PO SO (Specialist officer) for the selection of candidate in various public sector bank and financial institution. The notification for the exam comes in the month of July and exam is tentatively held in the month of October, November and December. The candidate who qualify the exam has to appear for the interview in the month of January and February and the provisional allotment for the successful candidate comes in the month of April  and the joining letter are issued in the month of July and August .
 
Eligibility-
            -Educational Qualification:
A Graduate degree in any discipline form a university recognized by government of India.
-Age:
A candidate must have attained the age of 20 years.
PRELIMINARY EXAM PATTERN:
 
The preliminary examination consists of 100 questions carrying 100 marks that to be answered in 1 hour or 60 minutes that means each question carry equal marks.
  The preliminary exam is divided into three sections:
·         Reasoning ability carrying 35 questions and consisting of 35 marks.
·         Quantitative aptitude carrying 35 questions consisting of 35 marks.
·         English carrying 30 questions carrying 30 marks.
 
MAINS EXAM PATTERN:
The mains exam consists of 200 questions carrying 200 marks to be answered in 120 minutes or 2 hours.
The mains examination is divided in five sections:
·         Reasoning section consists of 50 questions carrying 50 marks.
·         General awareness consists of 40 questions carrying 40 marks.
·         Quantitative section consists of 50 questions carrying 50 marks.
·         English section consists of 40 questions carrying 40 marks.
·         Computer knowledge consists of 20 question carrying 20 marks.
IBPS PO CWE SYLLABUS:
BANK REASONING SYLLABUS:
            Reasoning section covers logical aspect of candidate. It includes the following:
1.      Alphabetical series
2.      Statement and arguments
3.      Puzzles
4.      Verbal reasoning
5.      Blood relation
6.      Coding and decoding
7.      Number ranking
8.      Inequality
9.      Syllogism
Reasoning section consists of the following question pattern in IBPS PO PO:
-          20 question on puzzles that means 4 puzzles each carrying 5 question.
-          5 question on Syllogism.
-          5 question on inequality
-          20 question of varied reasoning type questions.
 
 
IBPS PO QUANTITATIVE SYLLABUS:
                        Quants section covers the following syllabus:
DI ,DS ,Number system, Problem on Ages, Average, Percentage, Profit and Loss, Simple and Compound Interest, Ratio, Mixtures and Allegation, Time and distance Time and work, Boats and streams, Pipes and cistern, Menstruation, Probability,
IBPS PO ENGLSIH SYLLABUS:
Noun, verb, adjective, articles adverbs, conjunction preposition, Parts of speech, Tenses, Rearrangement etc.
IBPS PO General Awareness syllabus:
For preparing the general awareness section one need to remain abreast with the current affairs because maximum question are asked from this section. Additionally one needs to have knowledge about Awards and honours, country capital, currency, books and author, history of banking, Banking abbreviation, RBI fiscal policy, Monetary policy etc.
BANK Computer syllabus:
The computer section of banking is not that tough. There is no need of deep understanding of computer concept it comes only of basic levels but for brushing up the concept you need to have idea of basic computer terminology ,  hardware and software used, knowledge of Microsoft-office, DBMS(Data base management system), internet, intranet, extranet etc.
