  • Basic requirements for IIT JAM -
    There is no restriction on nationality.
    No age limits.
    Candidates should have completed their graduation with minimum 55% aggregate if they are from General or OBC-NCL category or If they are from ST/SC/PwD category should have minimum 50% aggregate.
    Candidates who are in qualifying year of graduation also apply for JAM .
    Along with this each IIT has it’s own guidelines for providing admissions so must check out detailed JAM 2018 Eligibility Criteria.

    • Eligibility criteria IIT JAM Joint Admission Test:
      Age Limit: Date of Birth as recorded in the Matriculation / Secondary Examination Certificate only will be accepted by the Commission for determining the age.
      Nationality: A candidate must be citizen of India, Nepal, Bhutan, Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before January 1, 1962, person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Burma, East African countries of Kenya, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika & Zanzibar), Uganda, Zambia, Malawi, Ethiopia, Zaire and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
