  • It will not rotate.As the flux is not rotating.For a 3-phase I.M we need a rotating flux. If you give high D.C voltage stator windings will damage due to less impedance offered by the stator windings

  • DC supply cannot create rotatioanal magnetic field in the AC machine, which is required to run the motor, hence AC motor will not run on DC supply. For DC supply, windings get short circuit and damage takes place.
