REVA MAT: Exam Pattern, Details and Previous Year Papers



REVA University, which is located in Bengaluru, is known to conduct a series of Entrance exams on yearly basis for its different UG and PG courses; one of the Entrance Test is for admittance to Management programmes: Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), Bachelor of Business Administration (Hons), Bachelor of Business Administration in Entrepreneurship and Bachelor of Business Administration with Specialization in Retail Management. Reva University has a separate institute dedicated for management courses, which is known as School of Management Studies, this is the place where students pursue their UG Business Management degree after clearing the REVA MAT (a common aptitude test that is held at REVA University Campus).



The process of registration is online and simple, go to the college website to fill the form, upload required documents and pay the applicable exam fee. REVA MAT will be an Online Test, which is scheduled only on Sundays.   • REVA MAT 2020: Eligibility Criteria

    • Candidate must be a graduate in any stream from a recognized university with minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ST candidates) or equivalent.

    • Final year students are also eligible to apply provided they can present the passing certificate within the stipulated time.

    • The candidate must also possess CAT/MAT/CMAT/REVA MAT or any other equivalent examination conducted by a recognized Institute/Agency.

    • Admission to REVA University’s MBA programme is also done through Karnataka PGCET score

 

  • REVA MAT 2020: Exam pattern & Syllabus

  • Test sections will include MCQs on verbal ability and reading comprehension, general knowledge and current affairs, quantitative aptitude, data interpretation.

  • Each section will carry 25 questions and in total there will be 100 questions in the REVA MAT exam. 

  • One mark for each correct answer will be awarded no negative marking.

  • The test will be held in online mode.

  • Duration of the test: 2 hours (120 minutes)

 

REVA MAT 2020: Syllabus

  • Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension:  Parts of speech, Sentence correction, Grammar, Vocabulary, Synonyms, Antonyms, Fill in the blanks, Para Jumbles, Punctuation, Idioms, Sentence Completion, One Word Substitution, Contextual Usage, Reading Comprehension, Analogies, etc.

  • General knowledge:  Current Affairs, Economics News, Current Affairs, Finance, History, Corporate News, Brand Punchlines, International Organisations, World Records, Awards and Prizes, Entertainment, Social Issues, Politics, Geography, Science, Books and Authors, Sports, etc.

  • Quantitative Aptitude: Geometry, Algebra, HCF & LCM, Mensuration, Percentages, Commercial Maths, Partnership (Accounts), Permutation and Combination, Data Analysis, Averages, Ratio and Proportion, Profit & Loss, Number System, Work and Time, Time-Speed-Distance, In-equations Quadratic, and linear equations, Geometric Progression, etc.

  • Data Interpretation: Tables, Logical and critical reasoning, Graphs, Pie charts, etc.

 

Study tips for REVA MAT (Management Aptitude Test):

  • Increase Speed: Manage your time properly; give an appropriate amount of time to each section. Try to improve your time by practicing as many online tests as possible.
