LPU NEST (Lovely Professional University National Entrance and Scholarship Test) for Law is conducted to offer admission to the aspirants to various Undergraduate and postgraduate Law programmes. The scholarship will be provided to the top-ranking scorers of the LPUNEST. Due to COVID-19 Outbreak, the admission process has been shifted entirely to the online mode. the application process is conducted in two phases. Phase 1 (MAY Schedule) has ended on June 1, 2020, while Phase 2 (JUNE Schedule) has begun on June 02, 2020. The last date to submit the application is June 30, 2020. The application process for the Postgraduate courses has begun on January 16 and the last date is May 31, 2020. LPU has assured the admission to all the deserving candidates through the gateway of LPU NEST to curb the possibility of losing an academic year due to COVID-19.

The LAW entrance test seeks the candidate’s analyzing capabilities and knowledge about basic legal terms. The LPU NEST for LAW will be an online test that will be comprised of 60 Questions that are required to be solved in the 60 minutes. The questions will be from English, Quantitative Aptitude, Legal Reasoning, and General Awareness. Each section will have an equal weightage of 2 marks that will make it a total of 120 marks.

The 60 questions will be asked in the online proctored LPUNEST from home. The test will be a scholarship test that will provide scholarships to the meritorious students on the basis of the score. The scholarship is Rs. 24500- 44100 per semester that a student will get after scoring in the LPUNEST. Direct admission is a part of this LPUNEST where students will be interviewed by the expert panel.

The Lovely Professional University National Entrance and Scholarship Test will ensure that due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, there should be no loss to the student’s academic year. The admission procedure has been entirely shifted to the online process. The test from the home facility will safeguard the students from going out and appear for the exam. Current Affairs (National and International), Indian History, Indian Politics, Indian Economy, Who is Who, Sports Events, Awards and Honours, Abbreviations, Important Days and Weeks, International and National Organizations, Awareness of social and cultural connection, and socially responsible and environmentally sustainable design responses. History of art, sculpture and literature.

 

Important Dates of LPU NEST Exam:

The exam will be conducted on two schedules: May Schedule and June Schedule. The LPU NEST  will be an online test that the candidates can take from their home to avoid contact and going out at the time of COVID-19 Outbreak. The dates for the LPU NEST for the admission in Law are mentioned here:

  • The application forms for UG programme will be last on June 01, 2020, for the May schedule.

  • The application forms will begin from June 02, 2020, and the last date to submit the LPU NEST application is June 30, 2020.

  • The registrations for LLM started from January 16, 2020, and the last date is May 31, 2020.

  • The candidates are required to book their slot for the online LPU NEST Exam will be from June 3 - 25, 2020.

  • The slot booking for LLM will begin from May 21, 2020

  • The Online LPU NEST for LAW (UG) will be conducted from June 07 - 30, 2020.

  • LLM Entrance test has been conducted from May 25 - 27, 2020.

LPUNEST for Law: Eligibility Criteria

1. For Undergraduate courses (BBA LLB, BA LLB, B.Com LLB):

  • The candidates must have qualified 10+2 exam with a minimum of 60% marks from a recognized board. English is compulsory to appear for the exam.

  • Only Indian citizens are eligible to apply for the LPU NEST.

  • There is criteria for the 10+2 candidates to apply for the exam, only 2019 and 2020 batch students are considered to be eligible for the exam.

2. For postgraduate courses:
