  • KEAM is a state level exam conducted by the Commissioner of Entrance Examination (CEE), Kerala, for admission into the UG Engineering programs offered by various government and private colleges of the state.​ The exam was initially conducted for admission in courses of Engineering, Architecture and Medical in the colleges of Kerala.  It must be noted that the aspirants willing to get admissions into medical and architecture courses will be eligible for direct admission on the basis of their scores in NEET and NATA, respectively.

    ELIGIBILITY
    Nationality:
    Citizen of India, Persons of Indian Origins (PIO)/ Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) card holders can apply.
    Age Limit:
    Candidate must be of minimum of 17 years of age as on 31st December 2019. There is no upper age limit.
    Qualifying Examination:
    Must have passed 12th or equivalent exam from any recognized board with minimum 50% marks in PCM subjects. It is necessary to score 50% marks in mathematics individually.
    Appearing candidates are also eligible to apply.
    EXAM PATTERN
    Mode of exam is offline. There are 2 papers in exam, paper1 which is physics & chemistry and paper2 which is mathematics.
    Both paper1 & paper2 have time duration 150 min each, type of questions are objective type.
    The no. of questions 120 each paper1 & paper2
    4 marks for each correct answer and 1 mark will be deducted for every wrong answer.
    TIPA AND TRICKS
    Don’t attempt any question until you are sure about the answer, as there is a provision of negative marking.
    Revise your 12th base PCM concept which is very important to crack the exam.
    Make sure every topic gets equal attention and time; therefore do proper time management before starting preparing for the exam.
