VELS MBA Entrance Examination: Eligibility Criteria

• Educational Qualification:

• B. Tech/ B.E in any discipline, B.Sc (Maths/Statistics), BBA, BBM, BA(Economics) / Maths, B.Com, BCA, B.Sc Computer Science with Any Degree with 50% 10+2+3 pattern of Education.

• Merit-based on percentage of marks secured in the qualifying examination and score secured in CAT, MAT, XAT, VEE.

VELS MBA Entrance Examination: Exam Pattern

The candidates aspiring to apply for the MBA programme at VELS University, Chennai are advised to go through the exam pattern of the entrance exam to have a better understanding.

• Type: Pen and Paper Test (Offline Mode)

• Duration: The duration of the VEE exam will be of 90 minutes.

• No. of Questions: 100 Objective type questions.

• Syllabus Covered: Entrance exam will have questions from the sections of:

  • General Knowledge and Awareness

  • Data Interpretation and Quantitative Ability

  • Reasoning

• Marking Scheme: 1 mark will be awarded for every correct answer and no mark will be deducted for the wrong answer.

VELS MBA Entrance Examination: Tips and Tricks

• Become smart by attempting questions that you are sure of first, then come to the questions you’re in doubt. But don’t attempt them anyway, remember negative marking is a factor here. Therefore, only attempt a question if you really know the answer to.

• Manage your time properly; give an appropriate amount of time to each section. Try to improve your time by practicing as many online tests as possible.
