SKUAST CET Exam Pattern, Details and Previous Year Papers



Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences & Technology, founded in 1982, offers a great variety of academic UG and PG programmes through its six campuses spread throughout Jammu and Kashmir. The University has already released the information brochure indicating that the admission process is in the motion for the year 2020; there are seven under graduate courses in the field of agriculture, eighteen post graduate courses and three separate courses in Master of Technology in Agricultural Engineering. The criteria of admission are through a common entrance test for all programmes, the dates have been decided for the admission test for both UG and PG courses. Students first have to register themselves online to fill the application form with all required documents, we advise that you go through the eligibility norms before applying. The registration process will start form 18 April to 18 May 2020. The entrance exam will be held on June 2020 (for UG) and on June, 2020 (for PG) in the offline mode. SKUAST CET Eligibility

For Undergraduate Degree Programmes:

A candidate seeking admission should be a permanent resident of J&K State or of J&K State origin with minimum age of 17 years and maximum of 28 years as on 31-12-2019; should have passed 10+2 / Higher Secondary Part-II or equivalent examination from a recognized statutory Board / University with English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology / Mathematics and having aggregate marks not less than 50% for OM and 40% for reserved category candidates

For Master Degree Programmes:

For all Master Degree Programmes, a candidate must possess Bachelors degree of 10+2+4 duration or above in the concerned / related field as indicated against each with OGPA of not less than 2.80 on 4.00 scale or 6.00 on 10.00 scale or 60% aggregate marks in annual traditional system from Institutions / Universities recognized by ICAR / VCI / UGC.

SKUAST Exam Pattern & Syllabus for UG PROGRAMMES 

The examination shall be conducted in the following subject streams:

 

• Stream 01 comprising of Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects (PCB)

• Stream 02 comprising of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects (PCM)

• Stream 03 comprising of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics subjects (PCBM)

Entrance Test will consist of a single sitting paper. The question paper shall comprise of multiple-choice questions, with 45 questions each from Physics, (serially numbering from 1 to 45), Chemistry (numbering from 46 to 90), Biology (numbering from 91 to 135) and Mathematics (numbering from 136 to 180). The students shall have to attempt 135 questions (Stream 01 or 02) 0r 180 questions (Stream 03) pertaining to their subjects. Time duration of the examination shall be 2 ¼ hours (135 minutes) for Stream 01 & 02 and 03 hours (180 minutes) for Stream 03, keeping one minute per question in each case.

SYLLABUS: For admission to UG courses, the question papers will be based on the latest syllabus adopted by J&K Board of School Education (JKBOSE) for 11th & 12th classes.

SKUAST Exam Pattern Test Pattern for PG PROGRAMMES

The question paper shall be of 2 hours duration comprising 120 multiple choice questions i.e.1 minute for one question. Selection list will be prepared on the basis of merit obtained by the candidates at University Entrance Test and the discipline allotted, at the time of counseling, on the basis of merit obtained. Further, in the disciplines of Microbiology, Biochemistry and Plant Physiology, the inter-se-merit shall be meshed after first round of counseling in order to draw a common panel.

Syllabus for admission to various Masters courses will be based on ICAR/VCI syllabus with minor modifications. The detailed syllabus will be available on the University website.

  • Increase Speed: Manage your time properly; give an appropriate amount of time to each section. Try to improve your time by practicing as many online tests as possible.
