How can we prepare for CBSE 12th boards effectively and what is the syllabus for the exam?

  • This exam is conducted by CBSE. There are 3 streams in the 12th class namely Commerce, Arts, and Science. English is a common subject in all these streams. Science streams have subjects like Physics and Chemistry and you have a choice in the subjects of Maths or Biology as your third subject. For the fifth subject, you have a choice between Computer Science, Engineering Drawing or Physical Education depending upon the course availability of the school. Commerce streams accountancy, economics and business studies. Maths, Information Technology, and physical education are your optional subjects. The arts streams have History, Geography, Political Science as their compulsory subjects. Physical Education or Psychology as an optional fifth subject. Student needs to score a minimum of 33% in 11th standard to proceed to 12th standard.
    Exam pattern
    The exam has a time limit of 3hrs for all 12th streams.
    Total marks are 100
    Each stream has 2 viva subjects.
    Tips and tricks:
    You need to read the newspaper daily so that you can improve your English.
    Don’t mug up all the syllabus.
    Practice as many as perp test so that you know your strengths and weakness.
    All your concepts should be clear.
