CA CPT- Chartered Accountancy Common Proficiency Test
Introduction:
CA exam is the first step of becoming a CA. CA CPT examination is held twice in a year, in June and then in December. The results of this examination are out after a month of this examination. Examination has 2 section with the total time of 4 hrs with a break. The total marks will be 200 marks. The candidate should be 12th pass.
 
Eligibility
Now, let’s talk about eligibility. For appearing in this exam, the candidate should be 12th pass or appearing in 12th. As per the council the registration to the CPT is valid for 3 years. The candidates need to fill the application form to appear in this examination. Candidates who have passed 10+2 from a recognized board are eligible for this exam.

INDIAN EXAM CENTRE- INR 1000/-
KATHMANDU EXAM CENTRE- INR 1700/-
OVERSEAS EXAM CENTRE- USD 300
LATE FEE- INR 600/-
 
Exam pattern:
Examination has 2 section with the total time of 4 hrs with a break. This paper is held in paper and pencil mode. The total marks of this are 200 marks. To pass in this examination the candidate needs to 30 percent marks in each section and 50 percent marks in aggregate sections. There is a negative marking of 0.25 marks for every wrong answer. Admit card are released 15 days prior to the paper. There are two sections:
1.      Accountancy + Mercantile Law
2.      Economics + Quantitative Aptitude
 
Tips and tricks:
1.      Attempt the questions carefully as there is negative marking.
2.      Revise your concept so that you attempt well paper.
3.      Also don’t forget to prepare prep test so that you know your strength and weakness.
4.      Knowledge of all the laws.
5.      Must revise your concept thoroughly.
