NIACL Prelims Exam: Exam Pattern, Insights, and Previous Year Papers



NIACL- New India Assurance Recruitment is an exam conducted by the insurance company owned by the Government of India. Being one of the major insurance companies owned by the government, it invites lakhs of applications to get hired for the post of Assistant in this reputed organization. The prelims examination is being conducted in the month of September. The mains examination will be held in the month of October. The age limit for the post is between 21 - 30 years. The candidate must hold a valid Bachelors's Degree to meet the eligibility criteria of the concerned application. To crack the examination, one must hold good command on English language and Reasoning Aptitude. The admit card of NIACL Prelims will be released 10-15 days before the exam, and candidates are advised to check their admit cards carefully. NIACL tests one's ability to handle reasoning and quantitative questions, thus aspirants are advised to practice NIACL sample papers and mock tests.

NIACL Assistant  Eligibility Criteria:

  • Nationality: The candidate must be Indian or of Indian origin.

  • Age: The candidate applying for the exam must be a citizen of India, the age limit for the candidate is 21-30 years.

  • Educational Qualifications:

Candidates are required to have a bachelor's (graduation) degree in any discipline or equivalent from a Government recognized university or institution.

 

NIACL Prelims Exam Pattern

NIACL Exam is conducted for the recruitment of people in Group III Assistant on a national level.

NIACL Assistant Prelims Examination is of duration 60 minutes that consists of 100 marks in total. The total number of marks is 100, with 0.25 negative marking. The detailed exam pattern is:

  • Type: Online Exam

  • Exam Duration: Prelims - 1 hour

    • ​Mains Exam - 2 hours

  • Medium of Exam: English and Hindi

  • The exam is categorized into three sections:

    • English: This section has 30 questions of 30 marks.

    • Reasoning: This section has 35 questions of 35 marks.

    • Numerical Ability: This section has 35 questions of 35 marks.

Tips and Tricks

  • The admit cards have been released on the official website, thus candidates shall download them.
  • The exam will be an objective multiple choice type, where the candidate will have to choose one answer out of the 5 available options.
  • Candidates must attempt only those questions which they are sure of being correct, as there is 0.25 negative marking.
  • The exam will be bilingual, i.e both in English & Hindi, thus a candidate must have good command over them.
  • The candidate must hold a valid graduation degree from a recognized university by Central Government.
  • The negative marking of 0.25 will be done for each wrong answer.
  • The candidate must have been aware of the regional language of the state where he will be recruited.
