GGSIPU-CET Exam Pattern, Syllabus and Previous Year papers 



Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) is one the most popular and oldest universities in Delhi, that offers a number of courses in different streams including B.Tech, B.Com, BBA, LLB, BA LLB, and other programmes, but it is not easy to get admission to the campus, especially for the B.Tech admissions, the aspirants, firstly, must secure the cut-off marks which are based on a Common Entrance Test (CET), after which the eligible students are provided with ranks and then over three sessions of counseling the seats are filled in a different specialized section of B.Tech.



The eligible students can register themselves for the counseling process and the seats are distributed to students at 17 colleges for B.Tech in IPU. IPU is one of the biggest university which offers a degree in specialized B.Tech courses. A few of the specialized courses on offer in the university are B.Tech computer science, B.Tech IT, and many more. IPU CET (BTech) Important Dates:

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the dates for the GGSIPU CET have been rescheduled. The exam will be conducted by the Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University in the online mode. The test will be a computer-based test in which the candidates have to go to the allotted exam centers and appear for the examination.

  • The application forms have begun from March 03, 2020.

  • The last date to submit the IPU CET application has been extended from June 30 to July 20, 2020.

  • The application correction window will be available from July 21 – July 23, 2020.

  • The date for the admit cards is yet to be announced.

  • The dates for the IPU CET is still not announced, the exam dates will be announced soon.

  • The answer key will be released once the exam will be successfully commenced.

  • The final merit list will be declared on the official website of GGSIPU and the admission process will be according to the cut-off.

  • The counselling dates will be notified after the declaration of the result, the counselling rounds will be according to the categorical cut-off.

 

IPU CET Exam Pattern:

Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) conducts the IPU CET entrance test every year to offer admission to the aspirants who are seeking admission to the undergraduate and postgraduate courses. The online entrance test will have 150 MCQs that are required to be solved in 150 minutes. The questions will be asked from the 4 sections: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology. The IPU CET is for the aspirants who are willing to take admission through the lateral entry in BTech or in BTech Biotechnology.

GGSIPU is a public university that is located in Delhi, India.  The aspirants who are seeking admission in BTech course should have secured rank in the national-level entrance test JEE Mains, the aspirants will have to appear for the further counselling at the university. Thee aspirants for BTech Biotechnology or the lateral entry in BTech are required to pay Rs. 1200 as the application fees.

The online applications for the IPU CET have begun from March 03, 2020, and the last date to submit the application form has extended from June 30 to July 20, 2020. The correction window for the application forms will be open from July 21 till July 23, 2020.  The examination date is not yet declared as the COVID-19 Pandemic is grabbing the new heights every single day.

The aspirants who have qualified 10+2 examinations with a minimum of 55% marks with English as a mandatory subject are eligible to apply for BTech. The aspirants must be an Indian citizen to be eligible to apply for the exams. The aspirants who have secured rank in the merit list of JEE Mains are eligible for the admission.

The entrance test will test the capabilities of the applicants in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. The complete syllabus for the IPU CET is:

Trigonometry, Sets, relations and Functions, Statistics and Probability, Coordinate geometry, vector algebra, binomial theorem, differential equations, complex number and its quadratic equations, permutations and combinations, integral calculus, sequences and series, limit, continuity and differentiability, matrices and determinants, three-dimensional geometry

2. Physics:

Optics, Kinematics, Physical measurements, chemical measurements, thermodynamics, work, energy and power, atoms and nuclei, rotational motion, magnetic effects of current and electricity, current electricity, communication systems, oscillations and waves, kinetic theory of gases, electrostatics, dual nature of matter and radiation, electronic devices, electromagnetic waves, electromagnetic induction, and alternating currents, laws of motion, gravitation, properties of solids, liquids, communication systems

3. Chemistry:

IPU CET Eligibility Criteria for B.Tech

The IPU CET for BTech is designed for the aspirants who are looking to have admission in the Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University. The IPU CET for BTech Eligibility Criteria is mentioned here:

  • The candidates must have qualified 10+2 exam with a minimum of 55% marks from a recognized institution/university.

  • The maximum age to apply is 21 years and the minimum age for the IPU CET is 18 years.
