Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) conducts AMUEEE for admissions to undergraduate engineering programmes. AMU is an Indian public central University it was originally established by Sir Syed Ahmed khan as Mohamad anglo-oriental college in 1921. The main campus of AMU is located in the city of Aligarh. AMUEEE is a university level exam which is conducted both online and offline one time in every year. The candidates who have completed their 10+2 with 50% are eligible to get admission. Aligarh Muslim University provides the engineering program for B.Tech aspirants, the entrance exam is a mixed bag of the three subjects physics, chemistry, and physics. To Prepare well, candidates are advised to attempt AMUEEE Exam previous year question papers.

Important Dates: AMUEEE 

  • The online registration for the B.Tech programme starts on January 16, 2020.

  • The last online registration date is February 25, 2020, and with late fees submission of (Rs.1000) is March 7, 2020.

  • The offline expected exam will commence and happen on May 31, 2020, for B.Tech. 

​The exam has been postponed until further notifications from the University authorities due to COVID-19 Pandemic. The new dates for the examination will be notified later.

  • Paper expected exam result will be declared in the last week of June 2020.

Exam Pattern: AMUEEE

  • Type: Computer-based test (Online Mode) or Paper Based Test (Offline Mode)

  • Duration: The duration will be of 3 hours (180 minutes).

  • No. of Questions: 150 Objective type questions.

  • Syllabus Covered:  Physics, Chemistry, and Maths up to 12th class.

  • Marking Scheme: 1 mark will be awarded for every correct answer 

    • ​No negative marking for the incorrect answers.

  • Physics – One should have a complete understanding of Concepts & Principles & Theories of Physics, Dynamics, Heat, Physical Optics, Geometrical Optics, Electrostatics, Current Electricity, and Atomic Physics.

 

  • Chemistry – One should have a complete understanding of concepts of Chemistry like Stoichiometry, Atomic Structure, Periodic Properties, Oxidation numbers, Isomerism, Organic Chemistry, Electrochemistry, Haloalkanes, Chemical Kinetics’, Chemical Thermodynamics’.

 

  • Mathematics – One should have a complete understanding of concepts of Mathematics like Calculus, Trigonometry, Analytical Geometry, Vectors, Circles, Elements of Number Theory, Group Theory, Matrices and Determinants, Conic Sections.

  • The books are man’s best friend. So these are the books that will guide you through: Arihant Series, Books on Mechanics and Thermodynamics and Modern Physics, Inorganic Chemistry & organic chemistry by NCERT, Arihant Exam Papers for AIEEE, RD Sharma for Mathematics, Ren and Martin for English. But best if you study online from websites.

  • Be familiar with the syllabus and practice it every day.

  • Make a timetable which you will follow through thick and thin.

  • Solve previous years question papers, which you’ll get from Youth4work and mock tests along with that.

  • Negative Markings are there of 0.25 marks for every wrong answer and the right answers will fetch you 1 mark.
