What if someone is unable to catch the accent in the listening section?

  • The speech in the listening section sounds pretty natural. Plus you would be given noise cancellation headphones. Basically the Listening section includes questions about academic lectures and longer conversations. You can take notes on any audio material throughout the entire test. So I don’t believe it will be a great problem as far as understanding the listening section is considered.
