The company was founded in 1976 and has offices in 34 countries including Germany, France and Northern Ireland. HCL technologies has 120000 employees from 140 nationalities. It is one of the best and active recruiter and recruits every year the young graduates. The canidate must be a graduate in B.Tech (CS/ECE/IT). The selection process of the candidates takes place in three phases: Written examination, Group Discussion (GD), Technical Interview & HR interview. The candidates those who clear the examimation are only allowed for the GD and Interview rounds. The written examination covers: Logical Reasoning, Verbal English, Quantitative Aptitude, Technical Ability and General Knowledge. However, there is no negative marking in the exam. HCL Entrance Exam Exam Pattern
Duration: The duration of the paper HCL 2018 exam will be of 60 minutes.
No. of Questions: 65 Objective type questions.
Syllabus Covered: Quantitative ability, Reasoning ability, Technical ability, Verbal English, General Knowledge.
Marking Scheme:  No negative marking.

The pattern of the HCL Placement paper is as follows :

  • The quantitative section assesses Problem-solving and Analytical skills. It comprises of 15 questions. 
  • Reasoning section analysis the reasoning skills of the candidate. The candidate has to solve near about 15 questions.
  • The verbal analysis section covers the topic - Reading comprehension, Vocabulary and grammar skills. 
  • Technical ability requires a strong knowledge of the fundamentals.
  • General Knowledge section covers the topic - Geography, Current Affairs, etc.

No negative marking in the Examination. 

Interview Pattern:

After clearing the Examination, the candidates are eligible for the HCL Interview Rounds. It includes two rounds: Technical interview and HR interview. For all the rounds the candidates shall prepare themselves with all the knowledge of Technical skills. In technical interview, the  interviewer will expect an elaborate answer instead of shorter one.
