NEET Application Process:

The medical and dental national-level entrance test that will be conducted by NTA (National Testing Agency), the aspirants can apply on the official website of NTA in the online mode only. The online registrations for NEET were available from December 02, 2019, till January 06, 2020. NEET will be conducted in the offline mode on September 13, 2020.

The applicants who are willing to take admission in the medical and dental courses in the prestigious government and private institutions all over the nation are first required to go through the NEET eligibility criteria. The applicants must be in the age group of 17 – 25 years and 5-year relaxation for the reserved category applicants.

The Indian applicants, Person of Indian Origin (POI), Overseas Citizen of India (OCI), Non-Residents of India (NRI), Foreign Nationals all are eligible to apply for the NEET, the applicants must have qualified 10+2 examination with an aggregate of 50% (general category) with Chemistry, Physics and Biology as the mandatory subjects.

The Unreserved category applicants are required to pay an amount of Rs. 1500 as the application fee to appear for the entrance test. The applicants who belong to general-EWS/OBC (NCL) category are required to pay Rs. 1400. The reserved category, PwD, and Transgender applicants have to pay Rs. 800 as the application fee.

The application form of NEET can be filled in 4 easy steps:

1.       Candidate’s Registration

The candidate has to visit the official website of the National Testing Agency (NTA) NEET where the candidate has to go for the new registration tab and enter some information about themselves. The candidate’s name, Date of birth, Father’s and Mother’s name, category, gender, nationality, person with disability, identification number and identification type, phone number and email ID.

The candidate has to set the security question and password for the future login portal where the confirmation code will be sent to the registered mobile number and email ID. The candidates will be provided with the application number as it will become the username for the login portal.
 
2.       Providing personal information:

The candidate after successful registration for the NEET will have to provide the academic and personal information. The choice of the language of the paper among the 11 languages, the exam center (4 choices have to be provided in the order of most preferred to the lowest preferred) will be chosen here.

The candidate has to provide the 10th, 11th, and 12th academic details such as the school, board, year of passing, marks obtained, roll number will be asked in the next section. The address, parent’s occupation will be filled in the next section.

3.       Uploading the required documents:

The candidate has to upload the Passport size Photograph that should be in JPG/JPEG format and Image size should be between 10Kb to 200Kb. The signature that is required to be uploaded must be in JPG/JPEG format and size should be between 4Kb to 30Kb.

The candidate's Left Thumb scanned image is required to be uploaded in JPG format should be between 10Kb to 50Kb. The candidate is required to upload the Class 10th certificate between 100 KB – 300 KB in the JPG Format. A Post Card size candidate’s photo is required to be uploaded in JPG format between 50KB - 300KB.
 
4.    Paying the application fee:

The next step is to pay the application fee according to the category, the application fee is mentioned here:

a.    General (Unreserved) applicants: Rs. 1500
b.    General EWS/ OBC (NCL) applicants: Rs. 1400
c.     SC/ST/PwD/Transgender applicants: Rs. 800

After successfully paying the application fee, the candidates are advised to save and print the confirmation page and the receipt of the application fee for future references.
