What happens when p-n diode is reverse bias? Explain in brief ?

  • When the external voltage is applied in the opposite direction of Forward bias i. e. Reverse bias then the negative terminal will connect with p and the positive terminal will connect with n . Due to this depletion region will increase . And if depletion region will increase that means more recombination will take place .
