  • Eligibility Criteria
    First, a candidate applying for KVPY Fellowship must be an Indian citizen.
    Students pursuing under graduation in: B.Sc./B.S./B.Stat./B.Math./Int. M.Sc./Int. M.S. in Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Statistics, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Cell Biology, Ecology, Molecular Biology, Botany, Zoology, Physiology, Biotechnology, Neurosciences, Bioinformatics, Marine Biology, Geology, Human Biology, Genetics, Biomedical Sciences, Applied Physics, Geophysics, Materials Science or Environmental Science are eligible for KVPY fellowship.
    Students pursuing under graduation through Distance Education (correspondence) scheme with any University (Private/Government) are not eligible for KVPY fellowship.
    There are three streams to apply for KVPY fellowship. Each stream is to be met with conditions prescribed below:
    Stream SA: Only candidates who have studied in Class 11th with science stream can apply for this Stream. Candidates must have min 80% marks (70% marks for SC/ST/PwD) in aggregate in Class 10th with subjects science and mathematics.
    Stream SX: Only candidates who have studied in Class 12th with science stream can apply for this Stream. Candidates must have min 60% marks (50% marks for SC/ST/PwD) in aggregate in science subjects in Class 12th. Then candidates must have min 80% marks (70% marks for SC/ST/PwD) in aggregate in Class 10th with subjects science and mathematics.
    Stream SB: Only candidates who are studying in the first year of their under graduation in: B.Sc./B.S./B.Stat./B.Math./Int. M.Sc./Int. M.S. in Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Statistics, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Cell Biology, Ecology, Molecular Biology, Botany, Zoology, Physiology, Biotechnology, Neurosciences, Bioinformatics, Marine Biology, Geology, Human Biology, Genetics, Biomedical Sciences, Applied Physics, Geophysics, Materials Science or Environmental Science can apply. Requisite conditions for marks in Class 10th and 12th are same as for Stream SA and stream SX.
