Bank of India Officer Credit Exam Date, Syllabus and Exam Pattern



The BOI recruitment exam, which will be held in online mode, for various posts approximately for 158 vacancies under the name of Junior Management Grade/ Scale-I will be conducted for the year 2020-21 this year. The Selection Process for the post of Officer credit is through the online test and then a personal interview, which will be depending upon the number of applicable candidate selection. The test will be bilingual, that is, the questions will be in Hindi as well as in English language. The test will also have penalty for wrong answers. This Online exam is to be conducted at various centers across India, namely: The examination will be conducted online in Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Dehradun, Delhi, Hyderabad, Jammu, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Panaji, Patna, Raipur, Jaipur, Ranchi, Shimla, and Thiruvananthapuram. The interview will be conducted on the basis of a merit list that will be created after the online test. This merit list will rank the candidates as per their performances in the online exam. Candidates will have to achieve minimum qualifying marks as required to make it to the merit list. Whereas the interview will have a separate passing criterion, the interview will be of 100 marks and minimum qualifying marks for the general/unreserved category candidates will be 40% and for SC/ST/OBC/PWD is 35%.

Eligibility Criteria for BOI Officer (Credit):

The requirement for a candidate to fulfill to be an eligible person for the selection process of BOI Officer Credit is the degree from a recognized institution by the Government of India.

  • A graduation degree in any discipline with minimum 60% marks along with MBA/PGDBM/PGDM/PGBM/PGDBA from the institute of repute (two/three-year programme) 
  • Post-graduation degree in Commerce/ Science /Economics.
  • Chartered Accountant
  • ICWA 
  • Company Secretary

 

Exam Pattern of BOI Officers Credit:

The recruitment exam of Bank Of India PO is a computer-based objective type paper with a duration of 2 hours. The key points for the exam pattern are:

  • Mode of conduct: Online, Computer-based Exam

  • Medium of the exam (Language): Hindi and English

  • Duration of exam: 120 minutes/2 hours

  • Sections/subjects: Three; English, GK of Banking Industry and Financial Management

  • Total marks: 150

  • Negative marking: 0.25% for wrong answers, no negative marking for unattended questions

There are 3 main sections of the exam-Financial Management, General Awareness with special reference to Banking Industry, English Language.

Financial Management-

Introduction to Financial Management, Financial Statement Analysis, Capitalization

General Awareness with special reference to Banking Industry-

History, Geography, Economy, Banking Awareness, Budget facts and Five year plans

English Language-

Idioms and Phrases, Antonyms, Synonyms, Fill in the Blanks, Spotting Errors, Grammar, Reading Comprehension
