    General Intelligence and Reasoning:     This section tests the candidate's capability of solving the symbolic questions, arithmetic problems, reasoning aptitude. The different topics are mentioned for the exam:
    ​Problem-solving, Space Visualization, Arithmetical reasoning, Relationship concepts, Visual memory, Analogies, Decision-making, Verbal and figures classification, Arithmetical Number Series, Discrimination & Observations, Similarities & differences

    ​2. General Awareness – The section has questions from the following topics:​​
    Geography, Culture, History, Economic Scene, Scientific Research, General Polity, Static GK, 

    3. General Engineering: The candidate can choose from three categories:
    Part A: Civil Engineering and Structural Engineering: The topics for this section are 
    Surveying, Building Materials, Estimating, Costing and Valuation, Concrete Technology, Soil Mechanics, Irrigation Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Environmental Engineering, RCC Design, Hydraulics, Theory of Structures, Steel Design,

    Part C: Mechanical Engineering: The topics for this section are:

    Syllabus for Paper 2:
    Paper 2 will be a descriptive paper with the candidate's choice (Part A, Part B, Part C) for the exam. It will test the detailed knowledge of the candidate about the subject. The paper will be of 300 marks with a duration of 2 hours.
