  • The State Bank of India (SBI) Probationary Officer (PO) exam consists of two main phases: Preliminary (Prelims) and Main examination. Below, I'll outline the exam pattern for both stages:

    SBI PO Preliminary Exam Pattern:
The SBI PO Preliminary exam is the initial screening phase. It consists of three sections:

English Language: This section typically contains 30 questions, and candidates have 20 minutes to complete it.
Quantitative Aptitude: It usually consists of 35 questions and has a time limit of 20 minutes.
Reasoning Ability: This section also has 35 questions, and candidates are given 20 minutes to complete it.
The SBI PO Prelims is an online test with objective-type multiple-choice questions. It is designed to assess your basic skills in English, Mathematics, and Reasoning.

    SBI PO Main Exam Pattern:

The SBI PO Main exam is more comprehensive and in-depth. It comprises both objective and descriptive tests. The main exam consists of the following sections:

Reasoning & Computer Aptitude: This section contains 45 objective-type questions and one descriptive question. The objective section carries 60 marks and is allotted 60 minutes, while the descriptive section (Letter Writing & Essay) is for 25 marks and should be completed in 30 minutes.
Data Analysis & Interpretation: It includes 35 objective-type questions and is allocated 60 minutes.
General/Economy/Banking Awareness: This section contains 40 objective-type questions and is given 35 minutes.
English Language: This section consists of 35 objective-type questions and is allotted 40 minutes.

The SBI PO Main exam assesses your reasoning abilities, data analysis, and interpretation skills, along with knowledge in the fields of general awareness, economy, and banking. The objective-type questions are based on your understanding of these subjects.
