  • SSC MTS Eligibility: Age Limit, Educational Qualifications and Nationality

    The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) conducts SSC MTS Recruitment Examination once in a year to recruit right candidates for Multi-Tasking Staff Jobs. So, SSC is responsible to set the eligibility criteria for this exam. Staff Selection Commission releases the information of required eligibility through its official site when the notification is announced to fill the SSC MTS Application Form.

    The aspirants should read all the conditions of eligibility carefully before applying for the exam to avoid errors in the application form before the last date of submission of the SSC MTS Recruitment Exam. Take note of SSC Exam Dates to avoid missing important events.

    The eligibility criteria of the SSC MTS Recruitment Exam includes the following 3 Factors

    1. Nationality
    2. Educational Qualification
    3. Age Limit

    1. Nationality required for SSC MTS 
     
    The candidate should be a citizen of India or
    A person of Indian origin migrated from Pakistan, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Uganda, Vietnam, Zambia, Kenya, United Republic of Tanzania, Malawi, Ethiopia with the purpose of becoming the permanent resident of India. OR
    The candidate should be a subject of Nepal or Bhutan. OR
    The candidates who are Tibetan refugees who came to India before 1 January 1962 with the purpose of a permanent resident of India.
    The candidates who are not an Indian Citizen have to produce the certificate of eligibility during the Interview.
     
    **The candidates other than the citizens of India are required to produce the certificate of eligibility that will be issued by the Government of India.
     
    2. Educational Qualification required for SSC MTS

    The Staff Selection Commission specifies that the candidate should have passed the 10th standard exam (Matriculation) or the equivalent from the recognized board. The candidate should complete the matriculation exam before August 01, 2020. SSC does not set any benchmark of a percentage to be eligible for the SSC MTS Recruitment exam.

    The candidates should specify the percentage marks of their matriculation exam at the time of filling the SSC MTS application form.

    3. Age Limit required for SSC MTS

    The age limit set for the SSC MTS Recruitment Exam is:

    (a) Minimum age limit: 18 Years
    (b) Maximum age limit: 25 Years

    The candidates who are willing to appear for SSC MTS Recruitment Exam must not be above 25 years of age and less than 18 years of age.

    There is a factor of age relaxation that is provided to the reserved category, PwD, ex-servicemen candidates. The upper age limit extension is mentioned below:
     
    1.    OBC Category Applicants: 3 Years
    2.    SC/ ST Applicants: 5 Years
    3.     Ex-Servicemen: 3 years
    a.    OBC Category: 6 Years
    b.    SC/ST Category: 8 Years
    4.    Person Domiciled in Jammu and Kashmir between 1980-89/ 1984 Victims: 3 Years
    a.    OBC Category: 8 Years
    b.    SC/ST Category: 10 Years
    5.    Persons with Disabilities
    a.    General: 10 Years
    b.    OBC Category: 13 Years
    c.    SC/ST Category: 15 years
    6.     Divorced Women/ Widows/ Women who are officially separated but not remarried: Upto 35 years
    a.    OBC Category: 38 Years
    b.    SC/ST category: Upto 40 Years
    7.    Defence Personnel: 3 Years
    a.    OBC Category: 6 Years
    b.    SC/ST Category: 8 Years
     
     
    **All the candidates who are in the exemption category are required to produce the certificates during the interview to be eligible for the SSC MTS Recruitment Exam.
