    Once the application form is accepted, the candidate will be sent a letter of appointment by the USCIS. This letter will contain the time, date and location of the place where the candidate will get his/her finger prints taken. After the biometric scan is successful, the candidate will be called for the interview as scheduled, which is typically within 6 months.

    US Citizenship Test Process of becoming an American Citizen

    The Naturalization Interview or Citizenship Test is the deciding factor in getting US citizenship, which is actually consisted of four stages.

    ·         First, Civics Test: There are 100 civics questions on the citizenship test. During your naturalization interview, you will be asked up to 10 questions from the list of 100 questions. You must correctly answer at least 6 of the 10 questions to pass the civics test.

    ·         Second, Reading: You must read one out of three sentences correctly to show that you have an ability to read in English.

    ·         Third, Writing: You must write one out of three sentences correctly to show that you have an ability to write in English.

    ·         Fourth and last, Speaking: The USCIS interviewer will determine your ability to speak English based on you N-400 application.
