Tripura Public Service Commission Exam Pattern, Details and Insights



It was founded in the year 1972 by the Government of India under the Constitution under Article 96C in Agartala, the capital of Tripura. The Tripura Public Service Commission was founded for recruiting the candidates with written competitive examination and interview the candidates for the selection of Government Posts in the state of Tripura. They help in the framing of recruitment rules. Advice Government on promotions and transfers from one service to another. The Minimum Eligibility for Tripura Public Service Commission- The Candidate must be a Science Graduate from a renowned college recognized by the Tripura State Government. The Salary of TPSC Sub - Inspector is 13575 to 30800 with a pay scale of 3700. The exam centers are Agartala, Kailahahar & Udaipur. Among these 5 seats: 2 are reserved for General Category, 01 for Scheduled Castes and 2 for Scheduled Tribes.

Eligibility for Tripura Public Service Commission Exam

The Minimum Eligibility for Tripura Public Service Commission Exam are:

  • The Candidate must be the Citizen of India. 
  • The Candidate must be a Science Graduate from a renowned college recognized by the Tripura State Government. The knowledge of Bengali/English or Kokbarak language is a must.
  • The Minimum Age Limit is 21 years and the Maximum Age Limit is 40 years. For OBC it is 3 years, for SC/ST/ Female it is 5 years and for female (Reserved) it is 10 years and Physically Handicapped it is 10 years.

Exam Pattern PRELIMS: TPSC

The exam will happen in two stages: Written Exam (Prelims and Mains) & Personality Test

The exam of TPSC Sub – Inspector PRELIMS consists of ONE Paper i.e. General Studies of 200 Objective Type Questions carrying 200 marks with the time limit of 2 and a half hours: TPSC Sub – Inspector PRELIMS - These are the topics it will cover:

  • English Skill: It will comprise topics like Antonym – Synonym, Noun, Proverb and more.

  • General Studies I: It will comprise topics like Indian Heritage and culture, History, Geography of the world and India, Government, constitution, Indian Polity, Social Justice, International Relations, Technology, Bio-Diversity, Environment, Disaster Management, Economic Development and much more.

  • Quantitative Skills & Reasoning: It will comprise topics like syllogism, problem-solving, blood relations and more.

TPSC Mains Exam Pattern:

The exam of TPSC Sub – Inspector MAINS consists of EIGHT Papers in which 5 papers are compulsory and 3 optional papers. Each compulsory paper being 3 hours and consists of 100 marks. TPSC Sub – Inspector MAINS -

  • General Bengali/English I (Descriptive):  It will comprise 100 marks with the time limit of 3 Hours and topics like Antonym – Synonym, Noun, Proverb and more.

  • English Composition II (Descriptive):  It will comprise 100 marks with the time limit of 3 Hours and topics like Antonym – Synonym, Noun, Proverb, and Idioms, spotting of errors, ordering of words or sentence and more.

  • English Essay & Writing III (Descriptive):  It will comprise 100 marks with the time limit of 3 Hours and topics like unseen paragraphs’, letters, essay writing and more.

  • General Studies Question Paper IV (Objective): It will comprise 100 marks with the time limit of 3 Hours and topics like Indian Heritage and culture, History of Tripura, Geography of the world and India and Tripura, Government, constitution, Indian Polity, Social Justice, International Relations, Technology, Bio-Diversity, Environment, Disaster Management, Economic Development and much more.

  • Constitution of India & Five year Plan V: It will comprise 100 marks with the time limit of 3 Hours and topics like Elements of Constitution, five year plans since

  • Optional Paper VI to VIII (Descriptive): It will comprise 100 marks each with the time limit of 3 Hours each and subjects like Social Science, Maths, Science, Philosophy, Sanskrit, History, Education, Bengali and more.

The Interview (100 Marks) will be taken of candidates who have qualified both Prelims and Mains.

 

 

Admit Card:

The admit card will be available on the official site before 10 to 15 days. The candidates will need their Date of Birth and registration number to download it online.

The Admit Card will contain the details regarding TPSC Sub – Inspector like:

  • Exam Date
  • Venue of the Test
  • Exam Timings
  • Signature of the candidate
  • Details of the candidates
  • Subjects Chosen by the Candidate
  • The post for which the Candidate has applied for
  • General instructions for the exam.
  • The Candidate needs to bring one of the following documents as their identity 
  • ID proof in the examination center: Original ID proof like Driving License, Aadhar Card, PAN Card, etc.

General Knowledge:
