JPSC (JHARKHAND PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION), was founded after the year 2000 when Jharkhand came into existence after division from Bihar. The Jharkhand Public Service Commission was founded for recruiting the candidates with written competitive examination and interview the candidates for the selection of Government Posts in the state. The Minimum Eligibility for Jharkhand Public Service Commission- The Candidate must be a graduate from a renowned college recognized by the State Government.

Important Dates for JPSC Exam

The Commission has to release the notification regarding the recruitment examination for 2020-21, and the examination for JPSC 7, 8, and 9 has been canceled.

  • Jharkhand Public Service Commission conducts recruitment according to vacant posts in the department.

  • After the 2016 Recruitment Examination, no exam has been conducted to date.

JPSC Selection Process

 

JPSC Recruitment has four stages for the eligible candidates to get recruited. The candidates have to go through a proper JPSC selection process:

  • JPSC Prelims Test

  • JPSC Mains Test

  • Personal Interview

 

JPSC Eligibility Criteria

 

The JPSC Eligibility Criteria is:

1. Age Limit:

  • The candidates must be within 20 - 35 years of age to be eligible.

  • The reserved category candidates are provided with the provision of age relaxation. The age relaxation in the upper age limit is:

    • OBC Category (Male): 37 Years

    • Unreserved/OBC Category (Female): 38 Years

    • SC/ ST (Male and Female): 40 Years

2. Educational Qualifications:

The candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from the Government recognized Board/Institute.

3. Nationality:

The candidate must be of Indian Nationality.

 

JPSC Application Fee

 

  • Fee for Unreserved Category Candidates: Rs. 600 + Bank Charges

  • SC/ST (Jharkhand candidates): Rs. 150 + Bank Charges

 

JPSC Recruitment Application Form

 

  • The candidates can apply on the official site only; jpsc.gov.in.

  • The exam conducting body releases notification on Jharkhand Public Service Commission's official site to fill the application form.

  • This notification contains the registration period's information, required documents, exam date, relevant eligibility conditions, etc.

  • The candidate must read ‘How to Apply’ before filling the application form to clarify the instructions and online application form.

  • There is a helpline available for any inconvenience while filling the application form.

JPSC Application Form Filling Process (Registration Process)

 

  • The candidates have to click on the Apply Online on the advertisement link of JPSC Notification 2020-21.

  • The application form will be filled in the below simple steps:

    • Candidate's Registration

    • Fill the Application Form

    • Upload Photograph and Signature

    • Verify the Details

    • Pay Application Fee

    • Submit the Application Form

  • The personal information of the candidates is required like educational qualification, communication, category, etc

  • The post, exam center preference, etc. also asked on filling the application form

  • The candidate's photo, signature, and certificates will be required during the application form filling.

  • The signature should also be clear. It will be matched in the future use

  • The candidates should note down the registration number and password for future use

  • They should take the print out the application form copy to keep all the information with them for further use

 

JPSC Admit Card

 

The admit card will be available on the official site before 10 to 15 days. The candidates will need their Date of Birth and registration number to download and Captcha Code it online.

  • The applicants can download the admit card from the official website only.

  • The information available in the admit card:

    • Exam Date

    • The venue of the Test

    • Exam Timings

    • Signature of the candidate

    • Details of the candidates

    • Subjects Chosen by the Candidate

    • The post for which the Candidate has applied for

    • General instructions for the exam.

  • The Candidate needs to bring one of the following documents as their identity proof in the examination center, such as Original ID proof like Driving License, Aadhar Card, PAN Card, etc.

 

JPSC Exam Pattern

 

  • JPSC Prelims will have 2 Compulsory Papers.

  • JPSC Test Type: Objective Type

  • JPSC Test Questions Type: Multiple-Choice Questions

  • JPSC Test Level: National Level

  • JPSC Test Language: English or Hindi or any Regional Language

  • JPSC Test Duration: 2 Hours (120 Minutes)

  • JPSC Number of Questions: 100 in each paper

  • Number of Subjects: 8 (General Studies –I)

    • History of India: 15 MCQs

    • Geography of India: 10 MCQs

    • Indian Polity and Governance: 10 MCQs

    • Economic and Sustainable Development: 10 Questions

    • Science & Technology: 15 Questions

    • Jharkhand Specific Questions: 10 MCQs

    • National & International Current Events: 15 MCQs

    • General Questions of Miscellaneous Nature: 15 MCQs

  • General Studies –II will be in the Hindi language, and all the questions are related to Jharkhand information.

  • Maximum Marks of JPSC Test: 200 Marks for each paper

  • According to the JPSC Prelims Test Score, the applicants have to appear for the JPSC Mains Exam.

  • JPSC Mains Exam will have 6 papers

  • JPSC Mains Exam Type: Descriptive

  • JPSC Mains Total Marks: 1050

  • JPSC Mains Duration: 3 Hours each

  • JPSC Papers:

    • Paper 1: General Hindi and General English (100 Marks)

    • Paper 2: Language and Literature (150 Marks)

    • Paper 3: Social Sciences, History and Geography (200 Marks)

    • Paper 4: Indian Constitution, Polity, Public Administration and Good governance (200 Marks)

    • Paper 5: Indian Economy, Globalization, and Sustainable development (200 Marks)

    • Paper 6: General Sciences, Environment & Technology Development (200 Marks)

 

JPSC Marking Scheme

 

The JPSC exam's marking scheme is that the 2 marks are allotted for each question in the examination. The negative marking for JPSC Prelims Exam is here:

  • 2 marks for each correct answer in the recruitment Exam.

  • No negative marking.

  • The candidate's score won't be deducted for any mark if they leave the question unattempted.
