  • speed of train is = 60km/hr;
    since the pole is stationary therefore speed of train with respect to pole= 60km/hr
    let length of train= x m;
    let speed of train=y km/hr
    let the time taken be = z seconds;
    y=60km/hr;
    z=9 s;
    x=y*z;
    x=60 * 5/18* 9 ( converting speed into m/s)
    x=150 m

               =(50/3) m/sec
         Length of the train = (50/3)X9
                                        = 150 m
