Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research (JIPMER), Puducherry conducts an entrance exam for its MBBS programmes. JIPMER was established on 1 January 1823. It is a government funded institute. The campus is spread across a larger area having 200 faculty, 350 undergraduates and postgraduates, and 3000 staff. S.Vivekanandam is the Director of JIPMER. It is a national level examination where the age limit is minimum 17 years. The MBBS examination is of 200 questions with 200 marks. The time duration of th exam is 150 minutes.
