AIIMS Nursing Entrance Exam details, Insights & Pattern



AIIMS - NEET- Nursing Entrance Examination test is Entrance examination conducted by Central board of secondary study for students who wish to build their career in the medical field. NEET also refers to as National Eligibility cum Entrance Test. The AIIMS NEET exam is a national level entrance Test. In-depth knowledge of exam syllabus is necessary for clearing the NEET exam. The candidates who opt for Neet exam must fulfill the eligibility criteria as specified by NBE(National Board of examination). The duration of the exam will be 3 hours, where there are objective type questions. The students have to select one correct option from the four options. The exam is conducted through offline mode. The candidates have to mark their answers in  OMR  answer sheets. The question paper is consist of four sections: Physics, Chemistry, Botany, & Zoology. Each section consists of 45 questions each. There are total 180 questions in all the section. Each correct answer will give 4 marks each. The total marks will be of 720 marks. There is 1/3rd negative marking in each section. One mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer. The students can give the test in any language. However, students are advised to attempt AIIMS Nursing Entrance examination previous year papers and mock tests to prepare well.

AIIMS Nursing: Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates should have studied Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English as mandatory subjects in their 10+2 grade.

  • Must have scored a minimum of 60% in both 10th and 12th grade.

AIIMS Nursing: Exam Pattern

AIIMS Nursing Entrance examination is of 4 sections with 45 questions each. It consists of 180 questions for a duration of 3 hours. The questions are objective type but with 1/3rd negative marking.

AIIMS Nursing: Syllabus

  • Biology - Ecology, Biotechnology, Anatomy of Plants, cells, Microbes in human welfare, Plants Physiology.

  • Chemistry - Major questions are asked from organic chemistry, Inorganic questions are directly asked from Ncert Books. Physical chemistry is less.

  • Physics - Heart & Thermodynamics, Optics, Semi-conductors, current Electricity & Mechanics.
