  • 5 Steps to CAT Preparation Strategy:

    1. Know all About CAT
    Even before you think of preparing for CAT, first step is to understand about this exam its pattern and syllabus. You should start preparing for this computer-based examination now you have decided to attempt for it.
    2. Analyze your Strengths & Weaknesses
    Before make up your mind, analyze your plus and minus points also. It is in aspects of area of study. Find out the strongest areas and weak areas. Strategically, you must find out such weak areas and segregate them from the strong ones.
    3. Study Material
    This is an important step. There are number of providers are available for this but it will be your presence of mind to choose accurate and correct study material for the preparations. You must develop a habit of reading them on a regular basis. This will help you to update with general awareness, English skills and reading comprehension.
    4. Time Management
    Divide your available time to different sections. This will depend on your current level of preparation, what all topics you have already done, whether you are working or not, etc.
    5. Focus on Basics
    You should focus more on basics. If basics are not clear than there is no meaning of your advanced preparation. NCERT books for standard VI to X are wonderful for learning the basics.

    Prepare for CAT in three phases:

    First 50% of your time must fix in building the fundamental concepts and basics.
    The next 25% in building intensity, practicing more questions and fine-tuning your concepts.
    Final 25% of the time must be in taking many mock tests.
