  • INTRODUCTION
    Allahabad University was established in 1887 and is the fourth oldest university of India after Calcutta, Bombay & Madras University. Often referred to as “Oxford of the East” and it is also the Central University. It has 12 colleges constituted in it and it has been affiliated with UGC. It was founded with the motive to provide education to the people of Allahabad through providing admissions to Graduate and Under Graduate courses. Faculty of Law was created at Allahabad University in 1972 with 49 Students. The university offers BA LLB which is a Five Year Law Admission Test (LFAT). The total seats availability is 120. 
    ELIGIBILITY
    The Minimum Qualification is 45% Marks for General in 12th Class from a recognised Board with the courses offered by Bar Council of India and 42% in OBC and 40% in ST/SC as the qualifying marks.
    The minimum age is 17 years while the upper age is 22 years.
    EXAM PATTERN
    There are total 3 subjects which will have 100 Objective Questions carrying 2 marks each with negative marking 1/3rd for Paper I & II while 50 Objective Questions carrying 2 marks each with the negative marking of 2/3rd with the time limit of 150 Minutes:
    Language Comprehension
    General Awareness & Current Affairs
    Reasoning, Mental & Legal Aptitude
    TIPS AND TRICKS
    The books are man’s best friend. So these are the books that will guide you through: Arihant Series, Wren and Martin for English, NCERT books and more
    ·         Be familiar with the syllabus and practice it every day.
    ·         Make a timetable which you will follow through thick and thin.
    Must have the knowledge of LAW – Constitution, IPC, Family Law and more.
    ·         Negative Markings is there of 1/3rd marks for Paper I & II and 2/3rd negative markings for Paper III. So be careful while attempting questions.
