  • RRB NTPC 1St Stage Computer Based Test: Exam Pattern

    Railway Recruitment Board conducts NTPC Recruitment Exam to pick out applicants for Non-Technical Popular Categories graduate and undergraduate posts in Zonal Railways and Production Segments of Indian Railways. The posts under RRB NTPC recruitment are Junior Clerk cum Typist, Accounts Clerk cum Typist, Junior Time Keeper, Trains Clerk, Commercial cum Ticket ClerkTraffic Assistant, Goods Guard, Senior Commercial cum Ticket Clerk, Senior Clerk cum Typist, Junior Account Assistant cum Typist, Senior Time Keeper, Commercial Apprentice and Station Master.

    The exam will be a national level exam, the selection process of any applicant will be based on:

    1. RRB NTPC 1st Stage Computer Based Test (CBT)
    2. RRB NTPC 2nd Stage Computer Based Test (CBT)
    3. Typing Skill Test/Computer Based Aptitude Test
    4. Document Verification/Medical Examination

    ► The exam duration is 90 minutes (120 minutes for PWD candidates)
    ► The questions that will be asked in the exam will be objective type and the number of questions is 100.
    ► The candidate will be awarded 1 mark each for each correct answer and 1/3 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer.
    ► The questions in the exam will be asked from the following sections:

    • General Awareness (40 questions)
    • General Intelligence and Reasoning (30 questions)
    • Mathematics (30 questions)

    For people with disability a scribe can also be allotted with a time limit of 120 minutes.
    There will be 100 objective type questions

    For every correct answer 1 mark is rewarded
    For every wrong answer 1/3rd mark would be deducted.
