Eligibility Criteria for SBI Junior Associates Mains Exam:

Educational Qualification

The Minimum Education Qualification requirement for applying for SBI Junior Associate is Bachelors from any equivalent university recognized by the Government of India.

The age limit is 20 to 28 years. The age relaxation is 3 years for OBC, 5 years for SC/ST and 10 years for PWD.

Exam Pattern of SBI JA Mains Exam:

After qualifying SBI Junior Associate Prelims, the next step to clear the exam pattern of SBI Probationary Officer varies from Preliminary to Main to Interview.

The Exam Pattern of SBI JA Main consists of 190 Multiple Choice Question with total marks of 200 Marks with the time limit of 160 minutes, the syllabus consists of the following topics:

  • General English: It consists of 40 Questions carrying 1 mark each with the time limit of 35 Minutes.
  • Quantitative Aptitude: It consists of 50 Questions carrying 60 marks with the time limit of 45 Minutes.
  • Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude: It consists of 50 Questions carrying 1 mark each with the time limit of 25 Minutes.
  • General and Financial Awareness: It consists of 50 Questions carrying 1 mark each with the time limit of 25 Minutes.

 Those who qualify the SBI JA Mains Examination will be called further for Group Discussions and Interviews.

Syllabus of SBI JA Mains Exam:

There are four sections to be cleared while attempting SBI JA Mains. The section-wise subjects are as follows:-

1. General Financial Awareness

  • Government Schemes and Policies, Financial Awareness, Current Affairs, Banking and Insurance Awareness

2. Quantitative Aptitude

  • Problems on Boats and Stream, Time Distance and Speed, Permutation and Combination, Percentage, Mensuration, Time and Work, Mixture and Allegation, Ratio and Proportion, Probability, Problems on Trains, Average, Pipes and Cisterns, Simple Interest and Compound Interest, Problem on Ages, Partnership, Profit and Loss, HCF and LCM
Tips and Tricks:

1. Maintain Focus: Find out which of the five sections is your strength and so attempt it first to make a great start without wasting much time.  

2. Increase Speed: Manage your time properly; give an appropriate amount of time to each section. Try to improve your time by practicing as many online tests as possible.
