  • the GATE ECE OF 2017 is quite different from earlier version. there is a significant changes in syllabus , go through the syllabus carefully and work smartly, like in communication system noise part is totally removed and there is no laplace transform in signal system , also engineering mathematics cut off the transform section of fourier , laplace and z. so don't waste time there . plan wisely. exam pattern is quite clear 15 marks ---> aptitude 15 marks ---> maths 70 marks ---> digital, network and signal system, control , electronics devices, analog circuit, communication and emft

  • The queries could also be designed to check the subsequent abilities:
    (i) Recall: These square measure supported facts, principles, formulae or laws of the discipline of the paper. The candidate is anticipated to be able to acquire the solution either from his/her memory of the topic or at the most from a one-line computation.
(ii) Comprehension: These queries can check the candidate's understanding of the fundamentals of his/her field, by requiring him/her to draw straightforward conclusions from elementary concepts.

(iii) Application: In these queries, the candidate is anticipated to use his/her information either through computation or by logical reasoning.

(iv) Analysis and Synthesis: In these queries, the candidate is bestowed with information, diagrams, images etc. that need analysis before a matter are often answered. A Synthesis question may need the candidate to check 2 or additional items of data. queries during this class may, for instance, involve candidates in recognizing implicit assumptions, or separating helpful info from impertinent info
