how does I have to prepare to get good rank in gate?

  • Don't buy too many books, buy some quality books like gateacademy's EE series etc. 
    Give yourself a decent start. Try solving questions in youth4work, Indiabix, Cocubes etc. Solve state level technical exams, previous year question papers of your universities and never forget to prepare notes.  
    Level up by GATE previous year question papers.
    Study in group; help each other to help yourself.
    Write technical exams, during preparation too one can write these exams.
    Manage your time well, memorise formulae and numerical values.
    Divide syllabus into sub-topics, allot fix time to each sub-topic, for example, 20 minutes per topic.
    Experiment with questions and find new tricks to solve questions. Revise daily.

  • Time management is the key to success, when you are preparing for gate.Gate preparation comprises of two steps concept learning and problem solving. Make sure you give time to both the steps. Sit and study everyday. make short notes , revise them continously..You should take a test series to practise well.You should know all formula/ equations. Some numericals are directly formula based .
