  • Indian Air Force Y Group Exam
    ·         This exam is for the candidates who are unmarried males, to join the Indian Air Force as Airmen in Group Y Trades (Except Automobile Technician, Ground Training Instructor, Indian Air Force (Police), Indian Air Force (Security) and Musician Trades).
    ·         The exam is conducted once every year.
    ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA-
    ·         The candidate must be an Indian citizen.
    ·         Passed Intermediate / 10+2 / Equivalent Examination in any stream/subjects approved by Central / State Education Boards listed as COBSE member with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.
    ·         OR Passed two years vocational course from Educational Boards listed as COBSE member with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English in the vocational course or in Intermediate/Matriculation if English is not a subject in Vocational Course.
    There are certain medical standards and some other criteria’s for attempting the exam.we have provided the link for that in the description
    EXAM PATTERN
    ·         There are total  100 questions which  are to be attempted in 85 minutes.
    ·         Total marks are 100
    ·         The exam is divided into 5 sections.
    ·          SECTION 1 IS  Mathematics for 25 marks
    SECTION 2 IS English for 20 marks
    SECTION 3 IS Physics for 25 marks
    SECTION 4 IS Reasoning for 15 marks
    SECTION 5 IS General Awareness for 15 marks
    ·         Exam is conducted in online mode
    ·         The medium of exam is  English
    ·         Correct answer gives you +1
    ·         0.25 is deducted for incorrect answer.
    TIPS AND TRICKS
     
    ·         Focus on your physical fitness .
    ·         Revise your concepts daily
    ·         The basics should be clear as the exam includes topics of physics, chemistry and maths from your +2.
    ·         This exam includes 15 questions of general affairs.so, be in touch with the current affairs and latest happenings around you.
    · Practice as many mock tests as you can and analyze your performance on a regular basis.
    ·         Solve previous year papers, they will give you a brief idea about the exam pattern, types of questions, etc. for that you can refer to the prep guru app by youth4work, the link of the app is given in the description.

  •  Indian Air Force Y Group Exam 2018: Exam pattern/Selection Process
     
    Phase 1
    Total duration of the exam will be 45 minutes
    Medium of language of the questions will be Hindi and English
    Sections in the exam: Three
    Reasoning for 25 marks
    English for 20 marks
    General Awareness for 25 marks
    Another online test will be of 100 marks.
    The exam will have 100 MCQs type questions.
    Total Duration of the exam will be 85 minutes.
    Medium of language of the questions will be Hindi and English.
    Sections in the exam: Five
    Mathematics for 25 marks
    English for 20 marks
    Physics for 25 marks
    Reasoning for 15 marks
    General Awareness for 15 marks
    There is no negative marking.
     
    Phase 2
    Document Verification (To see the complete list of documents required for verification, please refer to the file attached below.)
    Physical Fitness Test (PFT)
    Adaptability Test-1 (Objective type questions) which involves deployment in various geographic conditions, weather and operational conditions.
    Adaptability Test-2 which involves the adaption to the environment of Indian Air Force and adjustment to the military life.
     
    Phase 3
    Medical Examination at Medical Boarding Centre (MBC) on the specified date.
