OJEE Exam Pattern, Insights and Details



OJEE (Odhisha Joint Entrance Examination) is a State level Entrance admission process  conducted by Odhisha Government for admissions into various Government, Private institutions of the state on the basis of OJEE. The test is taken by the aspirants of 10+2 level to take admissions into various programmes of B. tech for Bachelors. The online registration for the Exam starts from 6 Feb to 25 April 2020. The OJEE 2020 Merit list will be declared on the basis of JEE main score. There is no sepearte test for OJEE, the candidate has to follow JEE main paper pattern and prepare accordingly for the Exam. Through OJEE 2020, 100 engineering institutes will provide admissions to approximately 45000 eligible candidates for B.tech. To Prepare well, candidates are advised to attempt OJEE Exam previous year question papers.

Duration: The duration of the paper JEE main exam will be of 180 minutes.
No. of Questions: 90 Objective type questions.
Syllabus Covered:  Physics, Chemistry, Maths/Biology
Marking Scheme: 4 marks will be awarded for every correct answer and 1 mark will be deducted for every wrong answer.
Time Limit per Section: Candidates will be allotted section-wise time for answering questions in each section

 

Understanding the competition in JEE MAIN ENTRANCE Exam

JEE MAIN exam is conducted to offer admissions to the different disciplines of Engineering to the interested aspirants. The Engineering test is of 3 hours which can be given by the candidate in online medium.

There are three sections in the paper comprising of 30 questions each. Each question carry 4 marks. For every wrong answer 1 mark will be deducted.

OJEE Preparation Tips:

•             You need speed to finish OJEE exam within prescribed time limit. Go through the topics in syllabus and start with the ones that you are good at. Practise mathematics problems by memorising formulas to become faster. Same with Physics and Chemistry, learn chemical equations by writing over and over.

•             Make mathematics your strong suit, practise questions to solve them within time to increase efficiency. The trick here is to mug up math formulas by heart, so they come in handy while solving a problem.

•             Become smart by attempting questions that you are sure of first, then come to the questions you’re in doubt. But don’t attempt them anyway, remember negative marking is a factor here. Therefore, only attempt questions that you are sure of.

•             Manage your time properly; give appropriate amount of time to each section. Try to improve your time by practicing as many online tests as possible.
